Join code says “not found”

Codes are eight letters and numbers, and capitals do not matter. The usual causes are a typo, a code copied by hand, or a coach’s staff code entered where the team code goes.

1. Retype the code. It never contains the letters I or O or the digits 0 or 1, so if what you were sent has one, it was mistyped along the way.
2. Count the characters: a real code is exactly eight. Team codes do not change, but codes sent before September 23, 2026 were replaced; if yours is older, ask the coach for the current one.
3. If the coach sent a link (athlioapp.com/join/…), tap it on your phone instead of typing anything.
4. Make sure it is the Team code, not the Staff code. The staff code is only for coaches, and on the family screen it shows Team not found.

5. If that didn’t work

   Still not found? Ask the coach to tap the gear on their Team tab, and under Codes tap Share next to Team code, so it arrives exactly as the app wrote it. After ten wrong tries in an hour the app says Too many tries; wait an hour. If that fails too, contact support with the team name.
